The conical strainer (start-up strainer) type H serves as compact, reliable protection against particles – both in start-up operation and in continuous operation. In particular, it protects downstream valves, pumps, containers and pipelines for liquid, viscous and gaseous media.
Thanks to its conical shape, type H offers a larger filter surface than flat designs. This means that dirt residues can be retained in the conical screen while the pressure loss remains low – an advantage for continuous processes and maintenance-friendly systems.
Select the appropriate design via DN and PN according to your flange connection and operating conditions. The mesh size can be adapted to the specific project depending on the degree of filtration and medium requirements.
The conical strainer (type H) is designed as an intermediate flange temporary strainer and is used between standard flanges in accordance with DIN EN 1092-1 or ANSI B 16.5.
Installation is carried out by positioning the conical strainer in the flange connection and then screwing the flanges together evenly to create a secure clamp in the connection.
The design is intended for horizontal and vertical installation positions and can be used both as temporary collision protection and as permanent protection for downstream components.
